Reading & reflections

What a setback can teach us

Inspired by a reading note on The Gift of Failure. When something goes wrong, it can take a while to see past the disappointment. Once it settles, we can ask what was within our control, what we learned, and what we might try next time.

When “I messed up” becomes “I’m not good enough”

Inspired by a Rednote post on self-criticism. After a difficult conversation, try describing what happened in one sentence. Then notice whether the next sentence makes a judgment about who you are. Separating the two can make it easier to decide what you want to do next.
